American Airlines announced earnings per share of -3.86 on revenue of 4.03B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of -4.11 on revenue of 3.89B.

American Airlines shares are down 3% from the beginning of the year and are trading at 16.56 , down-from-52-week-high.They are under-performing the S&P Global 100 which is up 1.8% from the start of the year.

Canadian National Railway had beat expectations on Tuesday with fourth quarter EPS of 1.43 on revenue of 3.66B, compared to forecast for EPS of 1.42 on revenue of 3.63B.
